Wrightsville Beach Real Estate

Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina is the ideal permanent vacation. Only minutes away from Wilmington, the island is a perfect medium for individuals, and families, looking to have beautiful beaches in their backyard. While still being only minutes away from luxury shopping and businesses. With a population steadily remaining around 2,500 locals, there is a strong sense of community. However, the 44 designated public beach access points across the island encourage visitors.
Wrightsville Beach offers ample ways to stay active physically, and within the community. The recently renovated playground is a child’s safe haven with equipment suited for all ages. The park also includes a baseball field, tennis courts, soccer field, sand volleyball courts, and basketball courts for community use. Along with power, core, and agility workout stations scattered throughout the grounds. Every Monday the Farmers’ Market rolls in bringing fresh seafood, baked goods, and vegetables sold by local vendors. Local sports leagues and summer camps give children, and adults, a way to come together with friends for some friendly competition.
It’s well known that our four legged friends love the beach just as much as we do! Wrightsville Beach encourages dogs on the island year round, and from October 1st to March 31st, they are welcome to enjoy the beach. Local bars love pets to hangout on their outside porches and enjoy a refreshing drink with their owners. To help keep pets hydrated while on the move, there are several dog-friendly water fountains located around the Wrightsville Beach Loop. Just ensure your pets are leashed at all times while on the island! For more information and regulations visit the Wrightsville Beach Pet brochure.
Beginning and ending at the Wrightsville Beach Park is a 2.5 mile trail called The Loop at Wrightsville Beach. Runners, walkers, and bikers often take advantage of this trail not only for the exercise, but the scenic view. The path takes you across two islands by bridge, and offers views of the intercoastal waterway, marshes, and beaches.
Boaters can take advantage of the countless marinas on the island. Also, yacht clubs are available for people who want to enjoy the boating lifestyle without the upkeep of personally owning a boat. Masonboro Island is a quick 5 minute boat ride from the south side docks. With sandy beaches and beautiful marshes there are always sand dollars and shells waiting to be found on this barrier island.
Wrightsville Beach Island is watched closely by the local police and firefighters who are stationed on the island to protect citizens. Wrightsville Beach officers live by the core values: pride, respect, integrity, dedication, and excellence. The fire department’s Ocean Rescue Squad ensures the safety of beach goers. During the peak seasons, lifeguards are on stands, every few hundred yards, 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm and display flags that indicate the strength of the ocean current.
This tight knit community has something to offer for all lifestyles! With condominiums starting at $200,000, townhomes in the upper $400,000, and single family homes ranging from $600,000 to $3.2 million there is an opportunity for anyone to call this island home.
